Formulations of Super Nu-Thera that feature P-5-P as part of the vitamin B-6 source are intended for those individuals whose physician has determined that the usual form of vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) is not being utilized completely. At the suggestion of physicians, iodine and folinic acid, a biochemically active form of folic acid, have been included in the formulation. P-5-P stands for pyridoxal 5-phosphate. Formulations of Super Nu-Thera that feature P-5-P as part of the vitamin B-6 source are intended for those individuals whose physician has determined that the usual form of vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) is not being utilized completely. P-5-P is the metabolically active coenzyme of pyridoxine, and is an essential cofactor in many enzymatic reactions in amino acid metabolism. This product contains 25 mg of pyridoxal 5-phosphate (P-5-P) and 25 mg of vitamin B-6 from pyridoxine hydrochloride.
