What's In It?

L-Tyrosine is a direct precursor to Thyroxine, a primary thyroid hormone, as well as Adrenaline and Nor-adrenaline. Thyroxine has been found to increase metabolic rate and control growth rate. L-Tyrosine is a necessary amino acid in the production of neurotransmitters including epinephrine, nor epinephrine, and dopamine. L-Tyrosine also appears to have a mild stimulatory effect on the central nervous system. Patients with a Thyroxine deficiency have symptoms including excess weight gain, cold hands and feet, and decreased basal metabolism. L-Tyrosine has been found to assist in optimizing thyroid hormone levels, increased mood, concentration, and productivity. Tyrosine is used to treat conditions including depression or mood disorder, poor coping ability, fatigue, low sex drive, low metabolism, and drug abuse (when combined with Tryptophan). It can also improve endurance under stress and is effective as an appetite suppressant. When taken properly, L-Tyrosine can assist a sluggish thyroid and aid the dieter in losing excess, unwanted pounds.

Citrus Aurantium is a mild stimulant similar in some ways to caffeine and ephedrine, it is thought to have similar effects in terms of providing an energy boost, suppressing appetite, and increasing metabolic rate and caloric expenditure. In traditional Chinese medicine, zhi shi is used to help stimulate Qi (pronounced chee, and defined as the body's vital energy or life force) - but in order to maximize the metabolic benefits of these extracts, total synephrine intake should probably be kept to a range of 2-10 mg/day. Although synephrine and several other compounds found in zhi shi are structurally similar to ephedrine and are known to act as stimulants (via adrenergic activity), zhi shi does not appear to have the same negative central nervous effects of ma huang (ephedra). Through its stimulation of specific adrenergic receptors (beta-3, but not beta-1, beta-2 or alpha-1), zhi shi is theorized to stimulate fat metabolism without the negative cardiovascular side effects experienced by some people with Ma Huang (which stimulates all beta-adrenergic receptors).

Green Tea Extract (98% Polyphenols)(45% Epigallocatechin/ EGCG) Green Tea Extract contains Polyphenols and catechins. These compounds may work with other chemicals to increase levels of fat oxidation and thermogenisis, where the body burns fuel such as fat to create heat. Green Tea is also known for its free radical fighting capabilities, but has a wide range of applications. The most important catechin in Green Tea is Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which is a potent antioxidant.
White Willow Bark Extract (Standardized for 15% salicin) White Willow Bark is an herb that is the basis for aspirin, which may help to increase the effectiveness of thermogenics.

Yohimbe blocks alpha-2 adrenergic receptors (alpha-andrenoreceptor), part of the sympathetic nervous system. When alpha-2 receptors are activated, a powerful fat burning effect occurs. By thwarting these receptors, Yohimbe initiates the breakdown of fat. Yohimbe has proved to be a potent fat-burner.

Cayenne, a safe and natural fat burner, is also called capsicum or red pepper and has many benefits. Studies have shown that it can raise metabolic rates by as much as 25 percent.

Caffeine is used as an energy stimulant for increasing thermogenisis.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a sulfur-containing fatty acid. It is found inside every cell of the body, where it helps generate the energy that keeps us alive and functioning. Lipoic acid is a key part of the metabolic machinery that turns glucose (blood sugar) into energy for the body's needs.

Vanadyl Sulfate is a sulphur bound form of the element vanadium. Vanadyl sulfate is a unique mineral that research shows may be an "insulin mimicker" in that it, like the anabolic hormone insulin, may help shuttle glucose into muscle cells. It is thought that it may also shuttle amino acids into muscle cells which may, in turn, support muscle growth. Vanadyl sulfate is said to cause calories to be burned more rapidly (increased Basal Metabolic Rate), and to aid in the synthesis and retention of muscle, forcing fuel to be drawn from fat stores. It lowers cholesterol and increases carbohydrate intake by the liver. Also increase glycogen (your body's stored form of glucose) synthesis in the fat cells, as well as glycogen storage. The combination of all these actions makes it an excellent supplement for athletic endurance, as well as weight loss programs that include exercise.
